Off the shelf: Queen Ruby biscotti

Off the shelf: Queen Ruby biscotti
First published on 17 Jun 2008. Updated on 11 May 2011.

What: A small Bondi Junction company, Queen Ruby originally begged, borrowed and stole materials to package her biscuits, including using twizzles and choc top wrappers from the local cinema (previously unused, of course). Two types of biscotti are available - the harder, more traditional version that's great for dipping in dessert wine with flavours like fig and almond - and the softer version which includes butter in flavours like orange chocolate amaretti. There are also coconut macaroons available, with a drizzle of dark chocolate on the top, which are better with a cup of tea.

Where: Gourmet SourceCastlecrag

Price: $9.25 per 150g
