bills Darlinghurst
The original and considered by many to still be the best, Bill's does an ever-changing array of fantastic fresh juices and is the home of the now internationally renowed ricotta hotcake with honeycomb and banana. They also open for dinner and serve interesting cuts of meat like hangar steak. But they're most famous for their breakfast and brunch fare. Good coffee, too.
Elton says: This is the best breakfast in Sydney.

Fratelli Paradiso Potts Point
The giant, wall sized blackboard menu may indeed be written completely in Italian, but it's pretty easy to get the gist - especially when you're having it explained to you by a bunch of swarthy Italian men dressed in figure hugging black. The minute steak is grouse, as is the fried calamari with aioli.
Elton says Fantastic Italian served up by hunky waiters.

Harry's Café de Wheels Woolloomooloo
Beloved of visiting sailors, taxi drivers and hungry insomniacs, you can't beat Harry's for a late night snack. There are hotdogs for you sailor boys and every flavour of pie under the sun but what you really need to order is the Tiger - basically a pie floater, it's a plain pie topped with mashed potato, mushy peas and gravy, garnished with a white plastic fork. Dangle your legs over the edge of the jetty and get into it.
Elton says I love the fact it's still there, but sadly I haven't been in ages.

Icebergs Bondi Beach
The rib eye for two is one to order, not to mention the orecchiette with broccoli sauce. A stunning room with views over Bondi beach and straight out to sea, there's no better place to lounge about in one of the hanging cane egg chairs with a Bondi Crush in one hand and some grissini wrapped in prosciutto in the other. Pure, unadulterated bliss.
Elton says Breathtaking views and delicious modern cuisine

Pier Rose Bay
Greg Doyle's restaurant sits right on the pier at Rose Bay, taking advantage of some of Sydney's most stunning sunsets. His menu is all about fresh seafood well treated (everything line caught and brain spiked). And Katrina Kanetani's desserts are the icing on the cake. This is one of Sydney's finest dining experiences. Licensed, around $150 pp including wine.
Elton says Beautiful, high end dining.

Tetsuya'sSydney
Sydney's ultimate dining experience. If you're into your food big time or you just love the idea of being
completely ooed, aahed and wowed right through all of your 12 courses, then you've come to the right place. Truly a world class restaurant run by a rock star chef. Licensed & BYO. Ten course degustation menu $185 pp. .
Elton says Stunning food in an unbelievable setting.
