1 Lucio Pizzeria Darlinghurst
A casual, easygoing place with none of the crazy queuing or attitude of a lot of pizzerias around town. You get friendly service, informed advice on wine and pizza and courtyard seating (with heaters for the chilly months).

2 Pompei's Bondi Beach
Family fun or the prelude to a Bondi bar crawl. They super-size their Campari sodas and there's plenty of outdoor seating. The sausage and broccoli pizza is a highlight.

3 Rosso Pomodoro Balmain
It's L-O-U-D in the tiny room, but it's worth it for the top-notch pizza being pumped out.

4 La Disfida Haberfield
An authentic experience down to the stern Italian mammas serving you. Order the Margherita for fresh basil, tomato and buffalo mozzarella.

5 Pizza Mario Surry Hills
The lines may stretch down the street if you arrive after 6pm, but it's worth waiting. They do a killer potato, sea salt and rosemary pizza.
