Cargo

$10 steak lunch special King Street Wharf, Sydney, Mon & Tue

They don't just hit you with a calvacade of tasty booze at Cargo: they also do one of the best steak deals in town.

Chelsea Hotel

$8 rump steak 14 Railway St, Chatswood, Mon–Thu lunch & dinner

Lunch and dinner? Wow! As all bovine nerds out there will know, rump steak is the cut du jour. Take advantage of it at the Chelsea.

Five Os

$5 steak Lvl 1, 186 Arden St, Coogee

Everything is five bucks. Rife with backpackers and Coogee locals scouting for a cheap meal, Five Os offer the likes of steak, pizza and schnitzel with your choice of the usual suspects (chips, mash, salad).

The Lansdowne

Steak and chips $5 2–6 City Rd, Chippendale

If there's a cheaper steak in Sydney, we'll eat our hats. You may have to buy a drink to get the deal, but you're in the pub anyway.

The Shakespeare

T-bone steak and chips $10 200 Devonshire St, Surry Hills

The infamous Shakey is famed for its $10 meals and the shiner out of these is the T-bone steak with mushroom sauce, chips and salad.
