This place looks good, but both the coffee and the food are inconsistent. Not bad if you want to chill out for a while on a weekday, however, as it tends to be fairly empty then.

As cafes go, this one has a hell of a lot of charm. The spacious courtyard seems to be a regular hangout for Glebe locals and thus is rarely empty. Though while I love the atmosphere, the coffee could be better. Note.. the coffee here is actually very good..... for a cafe that uses Toby's Estate beans.... but because that is their bean of choice, the flavour ends up being quite mass produced and industrial. While Toby's is still a massive step above many other (unnamed) coffee beans, even when it is expertly prepared, the result will be somewhat underwhelming. So the long and the short of it is, if you are looking for a great cafe to chill out at, then this is the place for you.... but for coffee... you might want to go down a couple of doors and around the corner to The Wedge Espresso.
