Established in the 1980s by Mark Armstrong and Daniel Gantiez, Macleay St Bistro has occupied its present position on the Paris end of Macleay Street for more than 25 years. One of Australia’s top chefs, Mark Best of Marque, led the kitchen when current owner Carole Becka took over the reins in 1995. Since that time the Bistro has presented contemporary Australian and European menus. Today, executive chef Ant Ewart, together with Clancy Atkinson, head up the Macleay St Bistro kitchen. The wine list spans Australia, NZ, France, Italy and South Africa.
