The Baron was named after frenchman Baron Verincourt de Clambe, who the menu informs us is the first freeman to live in Castle Hill. It's the first small bar to hit Castle Hill and is also café by day, doling out pulled pork sambos, bacon and egg rolls and mum's banana bread until 4pm. But on Friday and Saturday evenings it strips off it's Clark Kent glasses and becomes a small bar with some very nice craft beers on the menu and a handful of wines if you aren't in the mood for a brew.
