The Southern Italian-focused menu is reflected in tomato and olive oil-based dishes, grilled seafood and pizza. Our pizza azzurri (azzurri is the nickname for the Italian football team) arrives with prosciutto, mushrooms, artichokes, bocconcini and ricotta on a thin base. Pasta includes classics such as aglio e olio. The seafood spiedino – skewers of prawns, squid, octopus and scallops, char grilled and served with salad, chips and garlic aioli – looks as impressive as it tastes. We notice other tables ordering the grain-fed pork ribs with ‘secret sauce’. If you’re in a group of three or more, try ’em. Why no fewer than three? The ribs are huge!
