I felt most embarrassed today when I invited an overseas visitor and a local friend to lunch at Dunbar House restaurant. When we arrived we were told that the restaurant was out of seafood, except tuna. So my two guests ordered tuna. I ordered chicken tortellini. The two plates of tuna were miserable in terms of presentation, quality and quantity. I was presented with a deep plate with five tortellini in some kind of sauce and nothing else. More than $5 per tortellini seems more than exorbitant to me. It seems that the kitchen had run out of food, and, instead of saying so, served us with the leftovers! I have often been and brought visitors to Dunbar House, but never got such poor service. I shall not risk taking visitors there again.
