Soon we’ll all be able to play The One With The Apothecary Table...

From whatever side of the fence you sit when it comes to the influx of international retailers setting up shop in Sydney, it’s going to be hard to avoid the impact of the latest import – Pottery Barn and friends.

The US interior design-slash-home wares colossus Williams-Sonoma (the cookery store and company that owns the Pottery Barn brand) is opening four stores in the Exchange Building at Bondi Junction.

From Thursday May 2, Sydneysiders will be able to shop for premium home ware products at William-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm stores.

As a generation of Friends fans will remember, Rachel would be thrilled with the news and Phoebe would be horrified.

How will it impact local retailers? We'll be watching this space.
