The traveling dress-up box pops up in Paddington

Bams & Ted is a vintage store with no fixed abode. The creative duo zig-zag all over the city, setting up shop in the strangest of places. We've found them in a 19th-century police cell and the Locksmith Project Space at the Redfern-Alexandria border before and for the next two months we'll be finding them in boutique shopping hot spot, Paddington.

For their July pop-up Bams & Ted have travelled back in time and have found themselves in the middle of a war. Edge of Love pays tribute to Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and his muses – his wife Caitlin and ex-lover Vera. Think cute florals, woolen cardigans, long socks and bulky boots, fitted tweed and 40s war bombshells. And when Bams & Ted opt for a theme they really commit, so expect to feel as though you've stepped straight onto a film set when you get there.

The shop will lose track of time altogether when it is transformed into the timeless world of Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands in August. This is a war on suburbia! You'll find 50s block pastels hanging astride gothic blacks and you may even have to cross a manicured front lawn to get at them.

Bams & Ted Go to War 84 William St, Paddington 2021. (www.bams-and-ted.blogspot.com). Edge of Love: 1–31 Jul; Edward Scissorhands: 1–31 Aug. Tue–Sun 10am–6pm.
