Early November saw the opening of Finnish textile company Marimekko's 100th flagship store in Sydney.
Formerly the home of Red Eye Records, the 300sqm store has now been transformed into a bright and colourful space over two levels. Clothing and home furnishings are predominantly what's stocked at the store, with only a few racks of signature print textiles available to buy. And Maija Isola's 'unikko' (poppy) design is also visible throughout the retail range.
Like all designer goods, pricing is not cheap, but there are keyrings and stationery for those of you looking for something small to buy.
