Like the Hunger Games, but with less blood, more charity
Businesses in the CBD do battle every day for clients, money and acclaim. But this June, they will do battle to raise money for the Cancer Council, which we think is nice. The City Mile Dash is a 1.6km lunchtime run for those who work in the CBD to run as teams, or individuals, for the title of fastest company (or businessperson) in Sydney. And for the seriously hardcore among you, there is a 'bootcamp challenge': try doing the mile with a 5kg sand bag on your back. Money from entries will go to research into and awareness-raising campaigns for testicular and ovarian cancer. We quite like their tagline, "Go for Gonads!"
