Four middle-aged men in an isolated country pub try to impress a young woman from Dublin - but the tall tales and beer-soaked blarney start to get dark and weird as things get increasingly supernatural in tone - and then the woman tells a tale of her own…
Conor McPherson's award winning play (described by the Telegraph as “rich, vivid, and often wonderfully funny”) comes to Sydney thanks to the New Theatre, with director Alice Livingstone overseeing a top-flight cast of Patrick Connolly, Barry French, Lynden Jones, Peter McAllum, and Amanda Stephens Lee.
