Beer O'clock Nine

The week's YouTube highlights, from a western-style Tarantinto to a hula-hooping Grace Jones

1. Best marriage proposal ever?
The answer is: yes. Just watch. And if you're a guy about to propose: time to feel inadequate.

2. Obama sings 'Call Me Maybe'
OK, you'll feel cheated by that headline – it's actually a mash-together of various Obama snippets giving the impression the president is singing a staccato version of Carly Rae Jepsen's hit – but we were tricked by that headline all week and we're bitter. So cop it. Also: it's still quite good.

3. Grace Jones sings 'Slave to the Rhythm' – and hula-hoops the whole time

The Queen's Diamond Jubliee concert had so many highlights we're struggling to pick just one (OK, it was kind of the worst thing ever staged and watching her stand on a barge was much more thrilling, but hey... we're in a pro-Monarchy mood this week with the extra day off and all). One thing that was pretty good, though: Grace Jones hula-hooping. For a long time. Click... play...

4. The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction
One Direction. Re-imagined as superheroes. Working for a strange being named 'Psymon' (get it?). A bit of animated fan-fiction that's often times very funny and always very odd.

5. Django Unchained trailer

OK fanboys: this one's for you. "The D is silent."
