1. Curiosity landing animation So many things could have gone horribly, horribly wrong – but the landing of the Mars Science Laboratory (better known as the Curiosity Rover) was a textbook example of how to do a landing. This awesome animation shows just how impressive that feat was. It also involves a cute robot dangling off strings attached to a flying robots which is both adorable and amazing.
2. New York zombies
A bunch of zombies take over Manhattan; one of them even vends a hot dog. Turns out some New Yorkers watch too many movies – we salute you, suckers! – and others need to lighten up.
3.Gangnam Style
Here is some viral excellence from Korea – a music video by trailblazing entertainer PSY. For those who don't know, ‘Gangnam’ is the hip area of Seoul, which makes everything in this video – including singing on the loo – officially hip. There’s too much going on to sum up, but take especial note of the ‘horse dance’, as this move is said to be taking off internationally.
4.Hillary Clinton dance
Hilary Clinton clearly needs to inject some 'Gangnam Style' into her lacklustre routine, which you can see here in this video of her dinner with the South African foreign minister. Her bump’n’grind moment suggests she does have some potential, though; so don’t be writing her off yet.
5. Assasination survivor
This amusing video is a man’s relaxed account of his ex-wife’s bungled assassination attempt on him. It would seem that in America there exists a judicious standard among the general public for the remuneration of hitmen. If Australians were only so reasonable!
6. Game show pain
Blokes, steel yourselves: this gruesome Japanese game show centres on the unfortunate meeting of hapless gonads and big wrathful stick.
