The Office Season 4 Part 2

Now that the US version of The Office has enjoyed almost four times as many episodes as its British counterpart, it faces problems about which its parent never had to concern itself – like what to do once the unresolved sexual tension between the central couple gets resolved. Comedies as diverse asMoonlighting and Who's the Boss? have staggered once the will-they-or-won't-they dance concludes, so now that Jim and Pam (John Krazinski and Jenna Fischer) have officially become a couple, that would presumably leave more pressure on the rest of the cast to bring the wacky. And that appears to be the route The Office is taking, with Steve Carell taking the character of Michael Scott further into parody while the overlapping arrogant-jerk characters of Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and relative newcomer Andy (Ed Helms) are still yet to strike a balance. It's still often laugh-out-loud funny, but it's too early to say whether this is a minor blip or the beginning of the end for Dunder Mifflin. Andrew P Street
