There’s no better time for a visit to Asia’s world city than during the annual Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival. It’s a long weekend during which Honkers gives connoisseurs the chance to chance to try some of the world’s best vintages as well as delectable dishes from award-winning Hong Kong restaurants.
Expect non-stop live entertainment down at the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade. The festival’s major highlight will be the newly introduced Grand Tasting Pavilion, an exclusive area showcasing rare and fine wineries. There’ll also be programmes of wine appreciation, cooking demonstration classes
and themed art displays.
Organised by the
Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), this annual event has achieved major worldwide recognition since its inaugural year, when it was named by Forbes Traveler.com as one of the top ten
international food and wine festivals of 2009.
Last year more than 110,000 joined the four-day party and they were able to visit more than 230 booths sampling a huge variety of international and local cuisine and offering wine tastings from over 16 countries.
