With 630 rooms including 45 suites, this place caters to large tour groups, executives and the international conference crowd: the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre is a stone’s throw away, and the hotel is within walking distance of several museums as well as Chinatown and the central business and shopping districts. All mod cons are provided, such as high-speed wireless internet, large work desks and cable TV. Some rooms have balconies overlooking Darling Harbour. There are high-tech conferencing facilities, a fitness centre and a sprawling shopping centre with a food court. The glassed-in Corn Exchange restaurant offers an elaborate seafood buffet, the historic Dundee Arms pub specialises in barbecued pub grub, and locally brewed beer and cocktails are served in the Lobby Lounge. Bars (2). Business centre. Concierge. Disabled-adapted rooms. Gym. Internet (wireless). No-smoking floors. Parking ($35). Restaurant. Room service. TV (cable/pay movies). CityRail Town Hall/ferry Darling Harbour/ Monorail Darling Park. Rates $190-$2,500 double. Rooms 630. Credit AmEx, DC, MC, V.
